Volunteers are a vital part of the camp ministry and help keep camp running during the summer and throughout the year. There are many ways to get involved. If you are interested in volunteering at Solid Rock, you can help during the summer camp season or throughout the year.
For those wishing to volunteer during camp, here are some different ways you can serve:
- Lunch Cook/Snack Shack Server
- Outdoor Cooking
- Leading/Assisting with Clinics
- Lifeguard/First Aid/Nursing
- Camp Games and Activities
- Bus Drivers
Due to NJ State law, individuals wishing to volunteer during camp must be at least 15 years old and follow the same application, interview and training process as our summer staff. If you feel that volunteering at Solid Rock Day Camp during the summer is something that would be a good fit for you, and something you are interested in, please go the Staff and Volunteer Login page and follow the instructions there to submit an application.
For those wishing to volunteer throughout the year, here are some different ways you can serve:
- Work Weekends
- Work Projects
- Preparing Crafts
- Equipment Repair/Maintenance
- and more…
There are plenty of opportunities for those wishing to volunteer throughout the year as well. Since there are less restrictions than during the camp season, individuals of any age may volunteer, and this is a great way for families to serve together. If you are interested in serving throughout the year, we have regularly scheduled work weekends in the spring and fall, or you could contact us about setting up a time to serve that fits into your schedule. We would welcome any help, whether for just an hour or for the entire weekend.
