Camper Scholarship Fund

Support an Underprivileged Camper through the Scholarship Program

Sponsor Information
The purpose of the scholarship program is to enable youth from the surrounding towns to come for a week of camp that they otherwise would not be able to, due to financial needs or extreme family circumstances.

Financial assistance will be provided in full or part depending on need and funding that is received by local businesses, churches and individuals who would like to help send a child to camp. All scholarships are given on an "as-needed basis" and first come basis for any boy or girl between the ages of 4-14.

Simultaneously to applying for scholarships parents are required to contact their employer, local church, 4-C Program and DYFS to see if they can receive any assistance from these resources. After review of their application and verification of their seeking assistance from the above mentioned avenues, the scholarship fund will seek to pay the rest of the basic tuition and transportation cost. The fund will not cover extra activities such as clinics, special outings, food or candy items.

Currently there are ten to twenty families/campers in need of assistance.

The weekly fees are as follows:
Weekly tuition fee:          $185.00
Transportation fee:           $40.00

Total                                 $225.00

*Historically, the total program need has been about $9,000.
